About The Blog

Since launching the movement to Stop Diabetes®, we at the American Diabetes Association have heard countless stories of courage, love, and resilience that are a testament to how our volunteers, advocates, and supporters are coming together to Stop Diabetes. One goal of this blog is to share these stories with you.

Another goal of this blog is to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what the Association does on a daily basis to fulfill its mission: To prevent and cure diabetes and improve the lives of all people living with diabetes.  Our staff’s dedication – combined with the stories that inspire them throughout the day – is a critical part of the Stop Diabetes movement.

Through this blog, we also hope to educate readers on diabetes-related topics on their minds – education being crucial for awareness, prevention, and management.

We recognize that the Stop Diabetes movement is built on relationships and understanding what it means to live with diabetes, from frustrations and fears to friendships and triumphs. We hope this blog will serve as a window for you into the Association’s role in this movement. Let us know how we’re doing – email us at diabetesstopshere@diabetes.org.
